The PR-501JP Junior Petite Comforter Lift Chair by Golden Technologies designed for people who are shorter than 5'0" and have always been shorter than 5'1".The PR-501 Junior Petite is one of the only full featured lift chairs on the market for petite people. It has full 3 way recline and a full chaise leg rest with no gaps under your legs, for full leg support. The seat is 19" wide, 18" high from the ground and 18.5" deep from the front of the seat to the back of the seat. Please be sure you need a chair this small before ordering. We have found that people who have lost height in their spinal column and used to be over 5'2" when they were in their twenties usually fit better in a PR-501S Small. This is because their leg length is still about the same as in their youth.
The PR-501JP Junior Petite Comforter reclines back to a comfortable sleeping position with your shoulders about 12 inches higher than your hips and your legs elevated out straight. You can sleep in the chair comfortably. It is fully electronic so you can stop the chair back in any degree of recline you find comfortable. Many petite women find they prefer the comforter style back on this lift chair. The seam back fits people who are stooped over a bit very well.
Another unique feature of a Golden Technologies 3 way recline Lift Chair is that leg rest comes up first as you go to recline. This allows you to get into a good TV watching or "visiting" position with your legs elevated out straight in front of you and the back sitting up fairly straight up at about a 15 to 18 degree angle. Once the legs are up the back begins to recline the rest of the way down. The easy grip arms are well padded yet easy to grip making it easy to get out of the elevated lift chair.
