Scholarship Competition Details
Great, well designed furniture is central to how we live. That's why it is imperative for us to foster the education of young furniture designers and prepare them for the future. In regards to this, we have created the Lift Chair Design Success Award Scholarship. Our sole aim is to do what we can to support the future leaders of the industry.
Our award process is straightforward and simple:
We want students interested in design and furniture to apply by submitting a brief, 2-minute long video presentation. We would like the applicant to talk about their favorite use of the current design technology as well as the pieces that please them the most. That's all!
Scholarship Information:
The winner of this contest will be rewarded with $1000 which will go towards their education.
Application Details
The submission should be in the form of a video clip, no more than two minutes in terms of length. You are advised to cover the following sections:
- Your favorite new design technology
- How has the new design technology influenced the industry and what effect do you think it will have in the future?
- What's your favorite piece of work created using your favorite new design tech?
- What makes the piece appealing to you?
The winner of the competition will be awarded a $1000 scholarship as mentioned above:
Eligibility
In order to be able to participate in this competition, you need to be currently studying or accepted to join a college or university.
The Judgment Process
Our judges will carefully assess the video's quality, clarity, creativity and the overall quality of the statements you make in the clip.
How To Apply:
After you have recorded and edited your video of roughly two minutes, uploaded it on YouTube. The title of the clip should be ' Lift Chair Design Success Award Scholarship.' In the description section, include a link that points to this page.
After uploading the video, also email us at scholarship@liftchair.com and include the following information:
- Your Full Name
- Phone Number
- Mailing Address
- Name of the College/University you are currently attending
- The course you are currently enrolled for
- Proof that you are currently enrolled or accepted to join a certain college or university
- The link to your video on YouTube
Please keep in mind that as part of the application process, you are granting us permission to use your content for future marketing or promotional purposes. Ideally, you are expected to acknowledge your receipt of the scholarship award publicly so that it's easier for us to promote the competition program further in the future.
Deadline is March 15th and winners will be picked on the 31st March 2018 and informed in 14 days.
